The challenge….a tired, run-down 1950′s beach shack in major need of a renovation.
More than five years in the planning, The Beachmere Project is an integration of beauty, practicality, cutting-edge technology and craftsmanship, whilst exerting minimal impact, ensuring it remains in harmony with the surrounding environment.
The labour of love was to convert a beachside shack into an innovative and eco-smart home. The labour of love would become The Beachmere Project, built by Sovereign Homes. A cultural shift towards recognition of reducing an environmental footprint, led to the incorporation of sustainable principles and environmentally responsible features within the design, something few luxury homes have ever truly achieved.
Much time and consideration was required in determining the ultimate aim and function of the beach shack – a distilling of ideas that has added immeasurably to the final product. The Beachmere Project aspired to create a desirable and opulent coastal lifestyle that was environmentally sympathetic in design and construction, offering eco-efficient living into the future.
