Backed by the HIA, the Green Smart Energy Award is presented to a housing project (single or multiple dwelling) that best incorporates cost-effective, energy efficient design and operation. The winning home will demonstrate a high level of year-round climate comfort with minimal artificial heating and cooling.
It is anticipated that The Beachmere Project’s outstanding energy efficient operation and net zero energy performance will far exceed the expectations of this recognised award.
Designed to produce more energy than the homes requires and thereby neutralise annual carbon emissions, this home combines energy conservation principles and state-of-the-art example of renewable power generation to achieve an outstanding result for the environment and the home owner.
The winner of the GreenSmart Awards will be announced on 28th November in Brisbane and will gain automatic entry into the national GreenSmart awards.
